Summary

Replaces Dome's ad-hoc neobrutalist styling with an original, component-driven system informed by the broad principles of neobrutalism.dev while preserving Dome's own product layout.

  • Adds DESIGN.md as the normative token and component guide, including an explicit no-copy provenance statement.
  • Introduces a warm grid canvas; one dark ink for structure; restrained radii; and consistent hard-offset elevation.
  • Uses only the approved palette: yellow primary/attention, green success/progress, pink expressive accent, plus ink, white, and creme neutrals. Purple tokens and styles have been removed.
  • Rebuilds the global shell, navigation, menus, pagination, collection filters, media cards, detail panels, forms, and login controls around shared classes.
  • Adds an accessible custom checkbox, a shared focus treatment, reduced-motion handling, and semantic status chips.
  • Restores the yellow, pink, and ink palette squares at the bottom-right of the footer as non-interactive visual signature elements.
  • Harmonizes media-type colour constants with the approved palette; no migration or persisted data change is involved.

This remains an Explore / Command-Inspect product surface, not a marketing redesign: no hero, invented metrics, gradients, glass treatment, or copied branded components.

Verification

  • npm run compile — passed
  • python manage.py test -v 1 — 82 passed, 1 expected failure
  • ruff check entities/models.py — passed
  • djlint … --check for changed templates — passed
  • npx -y @google/design.md lint DESIGN.md — 0 errors, 0 warnings
  • repository scan for neo-purple, purple-dark, #8338EC, and #6D25CE — no tracked-source matches
  • git diff --check — passed

Visual verification

Rendered the local /login/ route in Chromium after rebuilding CSS. The final review confirmed the grid canvas, outline/shadow language, navigation, card, input, custom checkbox, primary-action hierarchy, restored footer swatches, and absence of visible purple with no blocking visual defect. Authenticated collection/detail screenshots were not possible because no local browser login was saved; those routes are covered by Django rendering tests and use the same shared component system.

A screenshot attachment was attempted but the configured Forgejo token was refused with HTTP 403 on the issue-assets endpoint, indicating missing read:issue / write:issue capability. No screenshot is claimed as attached.

Risk / rollback

This is a presentation-system change, plus static per-media-type colour constants. It does not change URLs, database schema, HTMX attributes, form field names, or tracking behavior. Revert the three commits to return to the prior visuals.
